It has its advantages and disadvantages. For example, it is FAR more ethnically diverse, which is a beautiful thing. The hostel I lived in had many Africans, mainly from Nigeria, and Indians. On the other hand, HK is FAR more expensive. Hong Kong had no scooters, but WAY more smokers. The MTR(subway) was slightly better in my opinion, based on little things like a closed rail and a lighting map system in each car.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"flickr-yourcomment\">I spent my first night dreadfully bored. I read all day long, then expected to find sth fun to do&#8230; no such luck. I played in an arcade. The 2nd day, I went to the Aroma walk and the Peak. The 3rd evening I went to Lan Kwai Fong, where Hong Kong becomes America&#8230; or Europe&#8230; basically bar land filled with Westerners. I spent my time photographing the local graffiti. The last day, I made a friend and went sight seeing. Pretty uneventful.
